People working in other peoples’ homes

When the Smoking, Health and Social Care (Scotland) Act 2005 came into force, peoples own homes were not covered under this legislation. However, it was recognised that staff still have to visit residential properties and guidance was produced that offers practical advice on how staff can reduce exposure to second hand smoke in these circumstances.
